MINDFULNESS MONDAY:


During this last Monday of the year, we are looking at ‘Ikigai’, a Japanese concept that means life purpose. Ikigai consists of 4 components:

1 That which you can be paid for.

2 That which you are skilled in.

3 That which you are passionate about.

4 That which the world needs.


A suggestion for the week:

People who can live their ikigai are considered very enlightened.

• Come to a comfortable position in a quiet environment and set a timer for at least 5 minutes.

• Let this concept of ikigai settle into your mind. Where do you sit within the 4 components listed above?

• What thoughts or emotions are surfacing as you consider this?

• Contemplate what it means for you and open your mind to new ways of being.
